Bio

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, Finland. My current task includes producing visualization tools for the Magma Chamber Simulator with C++ and OpenGL graphics. Before my stint as a programmer, I have been mainly entangled in granite petrology, granite metasomatism and (radiogenic) isotope geology. For my PhD thesis, I worked with Paleoproterozoic A-type granites in southeastern Finland, in which high-temperature metasomatism and deformation have produced a unique variety of episyenite. Outside the academic life, I enjoy watching movies (especially old horror!) and playing the guitar.
